In a move which can only be called crazy our team decided to make the most of being in a situation with no contract. ‘Go on a trip’ . As a team we had not been out together for a long time although we do have our birthday celebrations etc. Things all happened very quickly. So we booked packages from the exhibition at Queen Sirikit  and off we were – to KOH SAMUI.

It was indeed a fun trip although it may not have gone according to plan. We even missed a snorkeling trip to Koh Angthon.

After Checking into our Hotel – Baan Hin Sai (pretty good place ) we had lunch by the sea.

We made up for it with our own day out (Visit a Waterfall,ATV Ride,Beach Volleyball followed by a dip in the sea.

Mind Mapping – New Tools & Web based Sharing

Mind Mapping – the famous approach for a lot of activities which allows one to ‘free think’ i.e without linear restrictions is seeing a lot of updates in the area of tools which are getting more and more advanced bringing a lot of activities into a single tool

Some of them are still free while others are anything between 150-400$ depending on the type of license and features.

I downloaded a few and am still playing around with them. Might do an update a little later.

XMind is quite a good tool which even allows you to upload your maps and share them with others on the web. Some advanced features are available for a price. It also allows you to import maps from other tools like Freemind and MindManager.

Have fun with it and unleash your mind in a creative way. Of course it can be used for very serious business too.

New Ventures

In the recent weeks I have decided to give two new activities a try  thanks to the amazing resources which are available on the internet.

Drawing – something which I wanted to try out and see just for the sake of doing it. It’s been said that anyone can draw and while at school drawing was not one of my favourite subjects. I had many amusing incidents. I found a very nice site which I am going to use as my tutor. The author of the site is also the author of ‘Drawing for Dummies’ :)

Drawing lessons to guide you if you are interested too.

The other one…..well lets keep it in wraps for some time.

BTW, If you are in Bangkok and looking for Second hand books visit The Dasa Book Cafe . I like their concept.

Reviving Blogging

I’ve decided to revive writing a blog as a means of sharing what’s going on in my life. I’m at a stage which I am quite sure is a ‘Turning Point’ .

The turning point started a couple of months back when I picked up the book ‘Power of NOW’  by Eckhart Tolle.

In keeping with my blog title this is definitely worth sharing…so will keep sharing in subsequent posts.
